Reverse Smokey

Happy Labor Day!  I hope that everyone has enjoyed their weekend!!  I'm back to the grind tomorrow....boo.  lol.  Yesterday I saw a look that Marlena did called the reverse smokey eye...and I decided to give it a try.  I did add a bit more shadow than she used on the lid because it just felt too bare for me lol.  I think if I would've added some falsies, it would have really looked awesome....but I was going for a quick look and I just am not good at getting false eyelashes on myself very easily lol.  OK....here's the look!





I pretty much wear this same look a lot during the week, the only real difference is that I'm not wearing my black eyeliner on my upper lid winged out like I always do lol. 

So....I have to say that I tried a new foundation.  I have been using MUFE Mat Velvet or HD...and I'm out of the HD and low on the Mat Velvet...so I'm on the hunt for that perfect foundation!  Haha.  Okay, so I was at Ulta and decided to try out a cheaper foundation (afterall, I am a student!!  hehe).  I picked out L'Oreal Visible Lift in shade 151 and I have to say that I am quite pleased!!  This honestly is just as good as MUFE HD!  It has a pump, blends super easy, is buildable, has great coverage, doesn't feel heavy or have a strong smell and it brightens my skin and seems to make my pores and skin look better!  I think I love this stuff!  Okay, so I have only used it twice lol....so we will see but so far it's awesomesauce!

I also wanted to ask you guys.....what is your favorite mascara right now?  I feel like I've tried it all and I'm really not loving anything....well, I do love one mascara....Diorshow Blackout, but it just isn't worth the money to me because it starts to thicken within two weeks of opening it and that is quite frustrating considering the price!  So please give me some ideas!  :)

    that lid color (the peach) really brightens your eyes! so nice.

    my fave drugstore mascaras are covergirl lash blast original orange tube and maybelline falsies

    Wow, this makes your eyes pop! And your hair looks stunning!

    My favorite mascaras at the moment are Maybelline's One by One and The Falsies Flaired. I love drug store mascara!

    @Angie: I love drugstore mascara too! I always seem to go back to Maybelline's Colossal. I recently tried the Falsies Flared and it wasn't a fave for me. Have you tried Lash Stiletto Voluptous? I really like that one.

    Oooh, pretty! I saw this look from Marlena too and I think it's beautiful! I suck at putting false lashes on myself so I don't very often becuase I'd rather not have them than ruin the work I've done! Hmm... I'm still really liking my L'oreal Extreme Volume Collagen mascara but I know everyone looks for something different in a mascara.

    This is gorgeous! I wanna try Marlena's reverse smoky eye as well. You did it so beautifully! I've tried many, many different mascaras as well but I always come back to Covergirls Lash Blast Mascara in the orange tube. For me, it gets the job done and makes my lashes look great.
