Blue/brown LOTD

Hi beauties!  I have been so boring with my makeup lately.....probably because most mornings I don't have time for anything elaborate lol.  I did this look a couple of days ago, so I thought I would share.  It's not a favorite of mine, so I'm not sure that I'll be rocking this again but I did think it turned out pretty.

Please ignore the black spot of eyeshadow by my lip hahaha...I didn't realize it was there lol but this was the only pic that I got that captured the lid good.

Here's what I used:

407P inner corner (peach/orange)
413P middle lid (pearly blue/green-similar to MAC Tilt)

361M above that lol (matte coral)
329M darken crease (matte dark brown)
352M blending (matte skintone)

Chanel Glossimer lipgloss in 141

Sorry that I didn't get great pics....I was low on time and just snapped a few.  Here are my favorite ones though.....

Haha....me and my kiddo.  She is so grown up these days!  She is going to be 12 in December and the child is about a half an inch shorter than me (I'm 5'4").  She is going to be way taller than me lol.  I can't believe she is in 6th grade....time goes so fast.  :(  I wish I could rewind and go back to the day I had her and live it all again!!  =D

Well, I hope that everyone has a great day!!

Reverse Smokey

Happy Labor Day!  I hope that everyone has enjoyed their weekend!!  I'm back to the grind tomorrow....boo.  lol.  Yesterday I saw a look that Marlena did called the reverse smokey eye...and I decided to give it a try.  I did add a bit more shadow than she used on the lid because it just felt too bare for me lol.  I think if I would've added some falsies, it would have really looked awesome....but I was going for a quick look and I just am not good at getting false eyelashes on myself very easily lol.  OK....here's the look!

I pretty much wear this same look a lot during the week, the only real difference is that I'm not wearing my black eyeliner on my upper lid winged out like I always do lol.

So....I have to say that I tried a new foundation.  I have been using MUFE Mat Velvet or HD...and I'm out of the HD and low on the Mat Velvet...so I'm on the hunt for that perfect foundation!  Haha.  Okay, so I was at Ulta and decided to try out a cheaper foundation (afterall, I am a student!!  hehe).  I picked out L'Oreal Visible Lift in shade 151 and I have to say that I am quite pleased!!  This honestly is just as good as MUFE HD!  It has a pump, blends super easy, is buildable, has great coverage, doesn't feel heavy or have a strong smell and it brightens my skin and seems to make my pores and skin look better!  I think I love this stuff!  Okay, so I have only used it twice lol....so we will see but so far it's awesomesauce!

I also wanted to ask you guys.....what is your favorite mascara right now?  I feel like I've tried it all and I'm really not loving anything....well, I do love one mascara....Diorshow Blackout, but it just isn't worth the money to me because it starts to thicken within two weeks of opening it and that is quite frustrating considering the price!  So please give me some ideas!  :)

*silly*
I hope you all have a fabulous week!!!  <3

Hiiieee!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, I know I am!  Two days off in a row...I feel like I'm on vacay!  lol.  I've been in front of my computer for hours, reading blogs and makeup sites and ohhhh I've loved it all!  I've been quite boring with my makeup lately....and now I have some inspiration again!!  =D  I thought I would post a few makeup looks that I didn't get around to posting....

I didn't really get a good picture of the last look....which bums me out because it looked good in person!!  I also didn't get to take a pic until the end of the day on that one.  But, I thought I would share anyway!  ;)

And had to add a couple of silly pics lol.  I better go try and get something productive done now....hehe...  Have a great holiday weekend!!!

Hi beauties!!!  I've missed blogging SO much!!  I'm sorry that I haven't posted in so long....life has been quite hectic for me the past few months with school, work and being a mom.  I've still been reading all of my fave blogs when I get the chance, even though I don't always comment....I haven't forgotten about all of you!!  :)   I would like to welcome my new followers too!!  I swear, this hasn't always been such a boring blog!  ;)

Okay, so first off....school is amazing!!  I'm so glad that I decided to go.  I love, love, LOVE it.  If any of you are thinking of going to cosmetology school...I say GO...and if there is a Paul Mitchell school near you, don't even think twice...GO!!!  I couldn't have picked a better school.  I've already had amazing opportunites and I'm only going into my third month.  I'm excited to see what's in store for me!  I did makeup for a fashion show called Nellie's Catwalk for Kids, it's a big benefit for kids with cancer.  It was so much fun!  After that, I joined the design team at school...I definitely want to do more fashion shows....I loved it.  I also did makeup for a fashion photo shoot and it is going to be my first publication!  I will give the details when it comes out, if anyone is interested in checking it out.  We focus most on cutting and coloring at school and I've found that I really love it.  I was so nervous on my first official haircut though....cutting on a real person is alot different than my doll head lol.  I still get a little nervous at first with each new client.  Cutting can be stressful!  But I am really rocking it out and doing way better than I ever expected to do....I guess I thought I would be horrible at it lol....but it comes pretty easily to me.  Oh!!!  I go to school with a celebrity!!  haha....well not really, but she is on youtube!  imarymac.  She is really sweet and loves makeup of course =D   We had a theme day at school a couple of weeks ago and a few of us dressed up like the 80's....it was a blast!  Here's a few pics of me and my bestie, Krystin (whom I met at school and we were instantly friends!)

Hahaaaa.....it was so much fun.  I love dressing up in 80's gear lol.

Sooo.....I finally have a few looks to post too!!  Yay!  =D   I've really been rocking out some neutrals lately.....SHOCKING yes, I know!

I am still loving my Inglot palettes....of course.....I've tried using some of my MAC and I just get disappointed....so I'm sticking to my Inglot and the crazy thing is....my neutral palette is my favorite one.   Of course, this look wouldn't be complete without.....

Haha....I'm such a dork.

Yesterday, I wore some purples!  Here's what I did....

Gotta love Sunday funday lol

Me and Steve

Andddd........

I'll try to be a better blogger, I promise!!!  =D  I miss you all!!!

Hiiiii guys!

Hi guys!!!  I miss you ALL!!  I feel like I haven't been able to blog in FOREVER!!  I'm sorry that I've not been able to post or read and comment on any blogs.  School started for me and I've just been so busy.  I'm still adjusting to going to school full-time, working part-time and being a mom!  I have so many blogs that I want to read and catch up on....and I certainly will tonight.  =D  I can't wait...hehe.  I'm going to read as much as I can lol.  OMG...I LOVE school!!!!  If any of you are even thinking about going to cosmetology school and there is a Paul Mitchell Academy near you....GO!!!  The school is just amazing.  This is my second week and I just absolutely LOVE it.  This was the BEST decision that I've ever made!  The school is such a positive environment!  It has been a bit of a challenge juggling everything though....I'm working part-time and I was only supposed to be working 2 days a week and they keep scheduling me 4-5.  So, on some days....I get out of school at 5 and have to rush to my other job and then come home and do homework and get up and do it all again!  The days that I don't have to work....I've been so tired...even sitting at my computer seemed like too much haha.  But, I wouldn't change it because I am SO loving my school experience so far and I've already learned so much.  So....I just wanted to say hello really quick and as for now...I'm going to go read blogs!!!!  =D  I'm dying to see what I've missed!!!  I will post more tomorrow, since I don't have to work again!!  I hope everyone has a great night and is doing fab!!!!

My new Inglot mattes....swatches and quick (unfinished-lol) look!

Well, the other day I heard about Inglot's new mattes and went to the website and couldn't resist myself.  I wanted to get them all but that just wasn't possible lol.  I picked out 11 eyeshadows, because on my last order I received two of the 392 mattes and one of my palettes had an empty square....and looked lonely haha.  I also bought another 10 pan palette.  I don't know why, but I seem to like those better.  I could've just bought the 40 pan palette and put all of the shadows in there, but they just store so nicely in groups of 10!  =D  My order arrived bright and early this morning!  YAY!!  I can't wait to use them.  I get kind of overwhelmed at first because I just don't know what colors I want to use first lol.  So, here are the swatches!!! (These are all swatched on bare skin)

Now, the downside of ordering right away is that you don't really know what colors you're getting.  It's better to see some swatches first.  I really like everything I chose BUT I would've maybe chose a different shade in place of the 334M because although it is different it is pretty darn close to 392M.

NEVERMIND haha....I guess they are different when swatched next to each other but they sure look similar in the pan....soo I'm glad that I got that one!  =D  (OOPS!  The pic is labled as 346 but it is 334!!) But the 383M....I don't really like....I think I meant to choose another one but it's okay, I'm sure that I'll find a use for it!  It's just so ORANGE haha.  I really love Inglot mattes...they are so buttery and silky and heavenly lol.  Overall, I am happy with my choices...and I can't wait to use them all!   Oh...they also sent me a sample of foundation....which strangely enough is my color!  I used it and I really like it!  I am going to use it again to make sure....and if I still like it, I'm going to place an order.  They sent me YSM cream foundation in 43.  It feels really nice going on...and it's buildable and I would say medium to full coverage.  It's not heavy at all and I think it actually helps control oil.  My face didn't look nearly as oily after 5 hours as it does with my MUFE HD foundation.  I am so excited!!  Not only that, I checked the website and it's only $15!!!  That is a fraction of my MUFE HD!!  Yippee!!  I'll keep you guys updated on that!  :)

I was running late yesterday when I started this post....so I didn't have time to post it...but I was so overwhelmed by all of my new colors that I ended up using neutrals lol.  I only had time to snap a quick pic....and I don't even have all of my mascara on lol orrr any lip products...but you get the idea!  I'm wearing the YSM foundation too!  :)

I hope everyone is having a fab friday!!!!

My MAC eyeshadows and swatches (oh and VS. Inglot!)

Hello makeup addicts!!  =D  Ok, so the other day when I posted my vanity and collection pics, Mrs.Makeup said that she would love to see my MAC collection more detailed....so here it is!!  I'm just going to do my eyeshadows and pigments in this post.  I'll do my lipstick/glosses/blushes in separate posts.  I hope that you will find this helpful if you are curious about certain colors!  Here's a pic of the shadows and pigments...I tried to kind of group them a bit.

I have 12 pigments (including samples) and 30 eyeshadows.  I'm going to start with the pigments first....

All of these were just swatched, no base, no primer.  My favorites are Melon, Golden Olive, Teal, Violet and Push the Edge.  Oh and Naked.  I love MAC pigments.  If I didn't have my Inglot eyeshadows, I would still be using these!  (haha ;) ).

Now for the eyeshadows.  I tried swatching these on bare skin like the pigments....but that didn't work out so well.  So, I put some Painterly paint pot on my hand and then swatched them again.  I had to work at getting some to even show up, like Gesso for instance!  I honestly don't know why I even bought that.  It's no wonder that I never used it!  I couldn't even get it to swatch over anything.  So I didn't even show that one.

These next ones swatched pretty easily (mainly the first three which are LE, mega metal eyeshadows....these are probably the best eyeshadows that MAC has ever made, IMO).  I swatched these over bare skin with no primer or base.  I had to layer it a little on some more than others.

Odalisque is probably my all time favorite MAC eyeshadow!  Most of these shadows are frost finishes, and veluxe pearls.  Now onto the pinks and purples!  I swatched these on bare skin with no primer, no base.  Of course, I did have to add more than others when swatching.

And some more.....

Of course, I saved my two favorite MAC purples for last!  :)   Parfait Amour is the only MAC eyeshadow that I have actually hit pan on!

I have to admit....doing this post has made me love my Inglot eyeshadows EVEN MORE!  To swatch an Inglot eyeshadow....you take your finger and barely touch it and then voila! you have an amazing pigmented swatch.  To swatch these MAC shadows, I had to rub my finger and get a ton of product and then repeat several times.  The time it takes for me to do my eyeshadow has dramatically decreased since using my Inglot eyeshadows.  They are a dream to blend and are SUPER pigmented.  You barely use any product at all!  Not only that....Inglot eyeshadows have 2.7g and MAC has 1.5g andddd my Inglot eyeshadows were $4.50 a piece because I ordered more than 10 at one time and my MAC eyeshadows were $14.50 a piece (excluding the LE eyeshadows which cost more).  So, just in my MAC eyeshadows (excluding my pigments) I have spent around $450 for those 30 eyeshadows.  I spent $153 for 25 eyeshadows (I had 5 already) and three 10-pan palettes at Inglot.  I could  just about own every darn eyeshadow at Inglot for the $450 I spent at MAC....LOL.  It just blows my mind!  I really thought that MAC had the best quality eyeshadows....but Inglot is BY FAR the best of the BEST.  Now this, of course is just MY OPINION lol.  =D

Maybe I should have a blog sale and give these MAC eyeshadows a good home??   Part of me wants to depot them and put them in palettes....but I know that they are just going to sit there, untouched!  What do you guys think?  Should I sell them or do you think I should just keep them?
