A brown/green look and some of my usual ramblings... ;)

Hi everyone!!  I've been so busy the last couple of days and I haven't been able to post anything, but I've definitely jumped on to at least check everyone else's blogs!!  :)  So, I went to my school on Thursday and signed all of my final paperwork (for those that just started following me, I will be going to the Paul Mitchell Academy for my cosmetology license) and I'm SO excited!!!  My first day is June 14th!!  I can't wait!  I will be in what is called "core" class for the first 6 weeks.  During that time, we basically learn the books.  I will be going full-time Mon-Fri.  I still can't believe that at my age, I'm finally going after my dream!  =D

So anyway, here's a look that I did yesterday.  I had really liked the green that I used in my neutral look and I really wanted to use it again.  I tried it on my lid and didn't like it and removed it and started over lol.  I love my Inglot eyeshadows but I am not really crazy about the pearls as a lid color (obviously the green was a pearl lol).  I decided to use browns with my green and this is what I came up with.!

I felt this was pretty neutral for me too!!  ;)  Here's what I used:

TFSI
NYX "Milk" jumbo eye pencil
Inglot eyeshadows:
378M-lid (dark matte brown)
352M-browbone and down to lid (matte skin color) for blending
419P-crease (pearly army greenish)
407P-a bit above crease (pearly orange-melon color) blended into 419
418P-inner crease (pearly green) blended into 419 and also the lower lashline
395P-highlight
378M+363M-brows
Wet n Wild liquid liner along with Physicians Formula Lash Boosting liquid liner
Maybelline Colossal Waterproof Mascara
MAC Feline-waterline

On my face, I'm wearing MUFE HD foundation in 125, MAC Harmony-Contour, MAC Style blush (thank you, Bailey!!! =D ) and 395P for my highlight.  I'm wearing MAC Bare Again l/s and Draw me Close lipliner.

I felt like this look was super neutral lol....my boyfriend said that my makeup was really "toned down"...so that must mean "neutral"...lol.  Oh no!!  What's gotten into me??!!  Two neutral looks this week?  Haha....  Don't you worry your pretty little heads off because I rocked some purple today!!  ;)  It wasn't super dramatic though....

Well, I'm glad that you enjoyed my makeup collection post....Mrs. Makeup mentioned seeing a more detailed post of my mac collection (and I will do that for my next post!) and I'm curious if there is anything else that you would like to see?  Or any looks that you would like to see me do?  Please let me know because I would love any suggestions!!  I appreciate all of you reading my blog!!!  I hope that everyone is having a GREAT weekend!!!  :)

How I store my makeup and where I put it on....!

I love seeing how all of you store your makeup....how you organize it.... and where you get to have your beauty shrine!!  =D  haha.  I've been meaning to do a post about mine and I finally did!!  Okay, so I used to put my makeup on in the bathroom and the bathroom counter was where I sat.  While this worked...it wasn't real comfortable lol.  I bought a mirror and I would sit in front of my window to get the natural daylight...and that worked for a while....but then winter came and most of the days were dreary!  Which means no light!  So, I went and bought a lighted mirror.   I would set it up in my bathroom and move a chair in there and do my makeup there....but I just really wanted a vanity.  I looked at them online and longed for a REAL vanity....like the ones here:
http://www.vanitygirlhollywood.com/products/vanity-makeup-tables/
I just couldn't justify spending that much money on a vanity table.  I looked and looked online but I just didn't see anything that sparked my interest like the vanitygirl vanities!  My boyfriend kept saying he could "make" me one....he told me his ideas of the lighting, etc....and said I would save so much money for basically the exact same thing.  He is brilliant, I tell ya!  haha.

We went to a few stores in search of a desk....I knew the size that I wanted and exactly where I wanted to put it.  I wanted it to match my other furniture....so regardless of where I put it, it would still look good.  I found the perfect match at Target!  It was only $99.  I can do that!!  Honestly, while it was perfect at the time....I probably wouldn't mind a bit more space lol....and if I decide to upgrade then the desk will go with my furniture haha.  I went to Lowe's for the mirror and the lighting.  I picked out two light fixtures and each side has 3 bulbs, so there is a total of 6 bulbs.  I bought the daylight energy bulbs that equal 40watts.  Let me tell you, this gives off perfect light to apply makeup!  I found the stool at Home Goods and it was $50 and it even lifts up, so I store my hair dryer, hair straightener, curling iron, etc in it.  I love it!  I bought organizers at TJMaxx for the drawer and I store my most used makeup inside.  I switch out things I'm not using for newer items, and I seem to rearrange this area frequently lol.  I store my brushes in a holder that is orginially for pens, etc.  It has three compartments...so one is for eye brushes, one for blush brushes, and the other for face brushes, etc.  I have a pen holder that holds my NYX jumbo eye pencils and then another that holds my mascaras, another for lipliners and eyeliners and then an organizer that holds lipsticks, primers, concealers, foundation, etc.  So, here it is!

I definitely wouldn't mind a bigger desk now haha.

So, here's the drawer.  The left container has my mac eyeshadows (oh the space that I would free up if I would just depot and put them into palettes) on the bottom (and two inglot pigments) the top left are my mac pigments and mac pigment samples, the middle compartment has my paint pots, gel eyeliners, concealer (I just use this one for my brows) and my browzings (which I use for the wax).  The right container has my blushes on the bottom and above it are random eyeshadows, etc.  and my UD DeSlick powder and MAC Careblend powder.

On top of the desk...right side...my mascaras, NYX jumbo eye pencils and other pencil bases, that ceramic container is for qtips

My brushes are beside that....and they need cleaned!  =D

My palettes are beside the brushes.  I really only use the Inglot palettes.  There is an UD palette that I've used one shadow out of and also the Sleek Bad Girl Palette (which I have never even used yet!).

Then beside the palettes is another organizer.  That has my daily brush cleaner, nivea lip balms, visine (I use that for pigments if I want to use them wet) and then my lipsticks and glosses.  I also have my face primers, foundations, eye primers and creams in it as well.

So, there ya have it!!  =D  I definitely want to re-organize.  I've seen some really awesome set-ups!!  I would like to depot my mac shadows and put them in palettes.  Then I would have that drawer for alot of other things.  I also want a lipstick/gloss organizer.  I hate how I have mine right now.  I've been meaning to get some of those bead thingys for my containers too...especially for my brushes.  I didn't take pictures, but there is a cabinet on the other wall...inside that, I have makeup that I just never use and hair products...oh and my lashes...I have a small collection of false lashes...and I never seem to wear them lol.  Anyway...I hope you enjoyed seeing my collection and such!!  =D

OMG....I MUST be sick....because I rocked a neutral look and....LIKED IT!

Hello everyone and a big hello to my new followers too!  :)  I appreciate all of you taking the time to read my little blog!!  :)   Well, I am pleased to announce that I did a neutral look today and I LOVED it!  Those that have been following me know that I am not a fan of neutral looks on myself (even though I love them on everyone else haha).  I definitely will do this look again!  That makes me really happy...I mean, I can't always wear blue and purple eyeshadow, right?  lol...  So, here's the look!!

I was super pleased with this look!  Don't worry, I'm not going all neutral on you guys!!  Hahaha...  Ok, so I did cheat a little....I did add a little pop of green lol.  =D  Here's what I used for this look:

TFSI
NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk
Inglot eyeshadows (I'm sorry...I know that's all I've been using lately...I can't help it! lol)
363M-lid (matte brown)
352M-browbone and for blending (matte skintone)
361M-slightly above crease (matte coral)
419P-crease (pearly army greenish color, maybe?)
378M-define crease (matte dark brown)
395P-highlight
418P-lower lashline (pearly green)
Wet n Wild H2O liquid liner (I'll review this for those curious) but then I used the Physician's Formula lash booster liquid liner for the wing because it has such a precise tip, I love it...however it has made my eyelashes fall out (yeah, I'll review this sucker too haha).
Maybelline Colossal mascara mixed with Lash Stiletto Voluptuous mascara

I'm wearing MUFE HD 125 foundation, MAC Sunbasque blush and 395P for my highlight.  I'm wearing Chanel Glossimer in Giggle.  No lipliner or lipstick today.  I've forgotten how much I love Giggle!  It's so silky and lasts so long and looks amazing all by itself!

SOO....what do you guys think?  Do you like my "neutral" look??   :)  Btw...thanks for all of your get well wishes...I feel so much better today!  :)  I hope everyone has a great night!!

Bombshell Blue Smokey! =D

Hello beauties!!  I've felt a little under the weather the past couple of days, so I haven't worn any makeup (well since Saturday when my throat started hurting...boo).  Well, I guess I'll share my makeup look from Saturday lol.  It's just like my Blurple smokey eye, except I used blue instead of blurple hehe.  Here's how it turned out!

Look familiar??!!  Haha....  Steve was playing a show that night and I said that I was feeling like some bright eyeshadow and he mentioned the blurple smokey eye that I had done (he really loved that) and wanted to see it with blue.  This was the first time that I have even used the 428P from my Inglot palette and I quite liked it!

Mmm....a nice glass of vino!  Hey, it was Saturday night after all!!   Haha....  So this was my bombshell blue smokey!!  =D  (I saw that on MUG lol...which btw, I miss the forum!)
Here's what I used:

TFSI
NYX black bean-base
Inglot eyeshadows:
451P-inner lid (pearly grey)
376M-lid (matte grey)
428P-crease and lower lashline (pearly navy, I guess? lol)
352M-browbone and for blending
NARS Night Flight-define crease (this is a blackened navy, I guess?)
395P-highlight
MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2 l/s and MAC Nymphette l/g (not in the pictures though...I put it on later)

I feel like blah, blah, blah....I've posted this look too much!!   Sorry guys!!  I hope you enjoyed it anyway!

OH!!  I almost forgot!

Surprise face!  Bahaha....  Yeah, I'm easily amused!  ;)  And here is a pic of Steve playing Saturday night!  It was super nice out and he played outside, which was really nice!

Have a great night!!!   <3

Lipstick Tag!! You're IT! :)

This is my entire lipstick collection right now, I think lol....I may have a few more lipglosses in purses because I can't find a few of them.  I really just started wearing lipstick again over the past year.  I was a lipgloss girl for sure...and I would seriously buy one or maybe two and just use that ONE color haha...I can't imagine doing that now!!  ;)

1. When you were a child, did you use your mother's lipsticks?
I sure did and all of the rest of her makeup!!  I loved watching my mom put her makeup on, and I can remember doing it as early as 3 years old.

2. How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?
I can't remember!  I know that I loved Revlon colorstay lipcolor when I was 19 and believe it or not my favorite shades were dark...like maroon!

3. Pink or red lipstick?
Definitely pinks...I have one red lipstick and I'm pretty sure that my daughter has it for halloween haha....

4. The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?
Chanel lipsticks and glossimers.

5. And the cheapest?
Probably my one Rimmel lipstick, Crush

6. What's the most bizarre thing you have ever done with a lipstick?
When I was around 10, I was in the car with my grandma and I had my little makeup bag with me and I put lipstick on my eyes and cheeks and lips, being really silly...trying to make my grandma laugh and it worked...  That's the only thing that I can think of lol.

7. If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?
I would recommend MAC because of their range of colors and different finishes and I would also have to recommend Covergirl lip perfection lipsticks because they are awesome!

So I tag anyone who wants to do this!  I love seeing everyone's collections and learning little bits about everyone!!  It's fun!

Blurple Smokey Eye :)

Today I went for a blurple (haha)  smokey eye...I really liked the way this turned out.  As soon as my boyfriend came home from work and saw me, he told me how much he liked my makeup today.  He's like ohh a blue smokey eye....aww how cute!  lol   Here's the look...

It's been hard to take pictures lately....it's been so gloomy and the lighting has been sucky lol.  I wish I could've gotten better pics...the flash really washes it out.

Here's what I used:

TFSI
NYX Milk jumbo eye pencil-base
Inglot eyeshadows:
376M-lid
379M-crease
388M-define crease (both of these are blue based purples) and also on the lower lashline
352M-for blending and browbone
451P-inner part of lid, just a teeny part lol
439P-lower lashline blended into the 388
378M-brows, along with MAC Espresso
Physican's Formula liquid liner
Maybelline Colossal Mascara

I'm wearing MUFE Mat Velvet 40, MAC Harmony-contour, MAC Sunbasque-blush and MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2 l/s.

I've been so into wearing brighter pink or coral lipsticks that I've forgotten how much I love the nude lip lol.  I also really liked the Mat Velvet today and I haven't been a fan of it but for some reason I was today!  haha...

I  joined a new beauty website today called makeupbee...it's only been up for like 2 weeks and I've had fun navigating the site.  Check it out if you haven't, it's pretty cool!  http://www.makeupbee.com/ .   Well, I hope you like my blurple smokey eye and that you all have a great night!!  =D

Gotta love purple!!

I feel like I haven't posted a look in so long!  I haven't been wearing much makeup...I've been busy moving and cleaning.  Today, I knew one thing.....and it was that I needed to wear some fun makeup!  I didn't wear any at all yesterday and the day before, it was just my brows and some mascara.  :-O  haha.  The moment I saw Sonja's (the beautiful life of the girl next door) recent post of the two colorful looks, I knew I had to try that purple one!  I have the same Inglot shadows and I love the 379M but have not tried it enough.  So, I really used the exact same e/s except I added a bit of two others and I mean, just a bit...I loved her look and I wanted mine to look the same...however, hers was better...much, much better...lol...but I did like it...I will do this color combo again for sure.  I need to perfect it!  ;)  Here's how my look turned out!

And I forgot to take pics in the natural light, so I had to use a flash....sorry about the quality of the pics.  Better pics tomorrow, I promise!  =D   I don't know why there's a glare around my eye too...it looks like I put white eyeshadow around the outer edges of my eye or something and nope, I sure didn't lol.  But I DID totally bomb my eyebrows!!  Ughh...oh well...some days, I just can't get them even!  Here's my product list:

TFSI
MAC Painterly pp
Inglot eyeshadows:
379M-lid and lower lashline
392M-crease
361M-above crease
352M-blend crease
74AMC-define crease
395P-highlight
439P-inner lower lashline blended into the 379M
363M and 378M for my eyebrows
Maybelline Volumptous waterproof mascara
Physician's Formula lash boosting liquid liner (review to come)

I'm wearing MUFE HD foundation, MAC harmony-contour, MAC Peachykeen-blush and Inglot 395P-highlight.  Rimmel lipliner in natural and Covergirl lip perfection lipstick in Darling.  (I put on MAC Angel first and took it off...I don't know why I bought this lipstick...it's too frosty and everytime I put it on, I take it off!)

I dyed my hair today too...and I'm back to the glossy color that I really like.  It's Garnier HerbaShine in Dark Natural Brown.  I used L'Oreal's glossy whatever it is last time and I hated it.  It's supposed to last through 28 shampoos and it didn't....and it turned my hair a really yucky shade after 3 weeks.  I really don't like red in my hair...I like my hair dark brown without red...and just a shade below black.  So, I will continue with the herbashine until I have to use permanent dye!  I hope that everyone is having a great week!!

And just for you Sonja!!  hahaha...  Get ready....this is scary!  =D

I told Sonja that my silly pic was so much like the one she had posted that day!!  I am such a nerd lol...

Surprise! A neutral look! haha...

First, I would like to say hello to my new followers!!  Thank you so much and I appreciate all of you reading my blog!!  I love reading everyone's blogs!!  So, thank you again!!!

Well now that blogger is back to working again, I can post my neutral look!  I was so frustrated with blogger lol....but I did find a cool makeup site!!  I can't believe I didn't know about this site!   Beautylish!  I really like it!  http://www.beautylish.com/ check it out, if you haven't.

Anyway, so I tried a neutral look the other day and it was just meh.  I wasn't crazy about it!  I need to like neutral looks on myself too!  But I just don't love them at all haha...

And since I know you guys love the silly face and I wanna give you a chuckle....
Bahahaha....  Okay, here's the product list:

TFSI
MAC Painterly pp
MAC Tan pigment-lid
Inglot e/s's:
407P-slightly above crease and blended down into crease
361M-crease
363M-inner crease
352M-blend
378M-define crease and v
395-highlight
378M-outer lower lashline
419P-inner lower lashine and blended into the 378

I used MAC Harmony to contour, MAC Style blush and 395P for highlight.  I'm wearing MAC Draw Me Close lipliner and NYX Matte lip cream in Antwerp.

Any suggestions to help me with these neutral looks?  =D  I hope everyone is having a great weekend and thanks for looking!!

Quick post (not makeup related) about my sister!

I found out today that my sister is going to have a baby girl!!!  I'm so excited!  I am totally in love with my nephew, but I also really wanted a niece....I wanna buy baby girl clothes again hehe.  I went with her to her ultrasound appointment...and so did our grandma, her husband, her husbands mom and her husbands grandma!  lol.  Oh and my mom was on the phone with me listening when they told us what sex the baby was.  I can't wait to meet this little angel!  I hate the waiting part lol...she is due in October.  In the meantime, I'll just be buying lots of girly clothes haha.  Here's a pic of me and my sister after she had the ultrasound!
look at the happinesss in my face!! haha

I love my sister!  We are very close and we are 13 years apart...but she is my bestie!  I have to show you guys my little nephew....oh man, I could kiss these cheeks alllll day!

Look at that curly hair!  Isn't he beautiful?!  This little guy is only 17 months old and can jump like you wouldn't believe...I mean it looks like he is bouncing on a trampoline!  He gets air too...I mean he can jump across the room....I've seriously never seen anything like it.  Most kids can't even get air when jumping until around 2 1/2.  He's been doing it since he was a year old!  He can also gallop.  When I saw this, I couldn't believe it.  I remember Kailey learning how to do this in preschool!  I think she was around 4 or something like that!   I think my sister is in trouble.....haha.

Okay, I'll do a makeup post in a bit...I just wanted to share this!  =D  Have a great day!!!

Purple/Grey Smokey Eye, Pink lip

Man, did I have a day with my makeup.  Grrr.  First, I wanted to try one of the MAC foundation samples.  NW25 isn't my color and nor is NC25.  I just don't fit.  So, I decided to mix the two.  NC is probably what I should wear...but I hate the way it makes my skin look...kind of sickly.  I tried NC25 studio fix yesterday and I washed it off and wore my MUFE HD.  Today, I tried Studio Sculpt and mixed the NW25 and NC25 and yuck.  Although it matched me good...I just didn't like it.  So I washed it off and put on my MUFE HD...and ahhh...my skin had coverage, but yet you could still see my skin.  Much better.  =D  I don't think I will be buying MAC foundation...it just isn't working out for me.  I liked the studio fix the best....but the NW25 is too pink/beige and the NC25 makes me look sick but oddly enough, it does match.....but it hides my real skin too much...I don't like that.  I have one more brand that I want to try and if that doesn't work....then I'll stick with the MUFE HD.

Onto my eye makeup!  I began with a color combo that I thought would look good.  Negative.  I cleaned my eyes and tried something else...FAIL again...washed that off and tried AGAIN and FAIL AGAIN...washed that off and FINALLY............

I liked how my FOURTH try came out.  Ughhh!  lol.  Luckily I didn't have anything else to do today haha.  Now, I can't take full responsibility for this look...because I really saw this color combo on Sonja (the beautiful life of the girl next door).  I had written it down and wanted to try it sometime, and today was a good day after all of my FAILS!  lol.

Here's what I used:
TFSI
MAC Painterly pp
Inglot 352M-inner corner
Inglot 376M-lid
Inglot 392M-above 376 and crease
Inglot 352M-blending
Inglot 74AMC-crease
MAC Carbon outer up to 74 AMC
Inglot 451P-lower lashline
Inglot 395P-highlight
Inglot 378M and 363M-brows
Liquid liner top and MAC Feline on my waterline
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous mascara
I used MAC Harmony-contour and Peachykeen for blush and then added a little NYX Peach and used Inglot 395P to highlight.  I'm wearing my MUFE HD foundation in 125 and MAC Careblend powder to set it.  I used NYX Citrine lipliner and Milan matte lip cream.

I really liked how this look turned out.  I will do this again, for sure.  I wish I was able to get some better pictures...the purple was way more vibrant and up higher than the pictures were able to capture.  Also, that Milan matte lip cream looked awesome with this look and again, was much brighter in person....here's with a flash

Please tell me that I'm not alone...that there are others out there that feel the need to completely wash everything off and start over.  HAHA.  =D   There are times when I can add something and fix it and there are times when that just isn't going to cut it lol.  Funny though, this only happens when I apply makeup to myself.  It also takes me 3x as long to do it on myself.  What is up with that?!  lol.  Have a great night!!!

Happy Mother's Day!! (and my look from yesterday)

Happy Mother's Day to all of you gorgeous mommies!!  I love being a mom.  I wouldn't trade it for the world!  I have the most amazing kid too.  =D  I also have the BEST mom ever!  She is my mom and my best friend and I couldn't have asked for a better mom.  I hope you all enjoy your special day!  I had the tastiest omelet for breakfast...made by none other than the best omelet chef in the entire world...Steve, my boyfriend.  =D  I'm getting ready to go to my parents house for a cookout!  Ahhh....and the sun is shining!  It's been a perfect Mother's Day!  <3

I just wanted to post real quick for mother's day and also post my look from yesterday.  I liked this look....I tried to do a more neutral look because I was dying to wear my new lippie.  =)  I wore my bright lip out and I LOVED it!  I'm so excited!!  haha.  I don't think I would've done it, if it hadn't been for you guys giving me some encouragement...so THANK YOU!!!  I will be going to buy MAC Impassioned this week....it is bright and I've had my eye on it...but been too afraid to try it...but not anymore lol...I feel like I'm wearing big girl panties!!  HAHA.  Ok...here's the look!

I ended up wearing my hair up, after it was all said and done.  Here's the product list!

TFSI
Painterly PP
MAC Melon inner corner
Inglot e/s's:
419P-lid
352M-wash for blending browbone to crease and browbone highlight
363M-crease
418P-crease blended to outer v
384M-crease and outer v
378M-blend 384
407P-above crease and to blend
395P-highlight
378M-outer lower lashline and 407P + Melon inner
Japonesque lashes (they are the half lashes)
I used liquid liner, but I'm not saying what kind because it's a secret and I'm going to review it soon!

For my blush, I used MAC Harmony for contour and Peachykeen and then 395P for highlight.  On my lips, I have NYX sand pink liner and MAC Speak Louder l/s (LOVE!)

AND for the silly face.............

Haha.  I tried out another MAC foundation.  I tried the prolongwear in NC25.  I should post pics of me side by side, to get your guys opinion.  This one didn't oxidize as bad, even though it is the same foundation.  I think the NC is more my color, but I think I'm a tad darker maybe.  I don't think I love this foundation.  It has great coverage....but I just don't like how it looks after a few hours.  So, last night....my boyfriend had a show.  He plays acoustic guitar and sings....he does cover songs and also writes his own songs.  I think he is pretty amazing!  Kailey went with me and my parents met us there.  It was really fun...he put on a great show and sounded fantastic!  Here's a pic of Steve and I from last night.

I look surprised or something haha.  Anyway....so I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
